The biggest thing with the Kenwood KFC-6995PS is their 5-way design, which allows for articulate lows, clean vocals, and startling highs, thanks to a division of labor between a 2-3/4″ paper cone midrange driver, a 1/2″ PET balanced-dome tweeter, and two smaller supertweeters.

This multi-driver design allows these speakers to handle up to 125 watts RMS, which is quite impressive for a pair of speakers in this price range.

Dollar for dollar, Kenwood KFC-6995PS are some of the best 6X9 speakers on the market, all things considered. Not only they’re reasonably priced, but these speakers are also well-engineered and tend to sound pretty loud and clear.

If I had to pick some criticism for these Kenwood speakers, I’d say that they’re relatively weak on the bass punch side. Furthermore, while most 6×9 speakers we listed here boast +90dB sensitivity rating, Kenwood KFC-6995PS’ is only 88dB.
