JBL Car Speakers

JBL car audio speakers are among the top rated car speakers in the market. These speakers are designed to be a high-grade replacement to factory-installed speakers. They come in various sizes and design, making it easy to find JBL car speakers that fit your car.

From 5″ x 7″ and 6″ x 9″ to 5.25″ to 6.75″ speaker configurations, JBL has every speaker to help you create the best sound system around.

As with most car speakers under the Harman International umbrella, most of the JBL speakers use Harman’s patented Plus One® woofer-cone technology which provides more overall speaker-cone area than other cones in its class — the result is increased bass output and greater musical character.

Combine that with their edge driven soft dome tweeters which deliver broader and smoother high frequency response, and you get great-sounding car speakers that will make a night and day difference in terms of sound quality.

In addition to their rugged construction materials, these speakers also feature UniPivot™ tweeter positioning and the I-Mount™ system for the tweeters, which allows you to aim the tweeter’s sound more directly at your ears for a more detailed soundstage.

JBL car audio speakers sport high sensitivity ratings and can handle a great amount of power on continuous basis. They offer slightly lower impedance than standard car speakers.

JBL speakers are quite efficient and responsive. They’ll sound great running off your headunit, but they’ll truly come into their own when paired up to an external amplifier.

GTO and Power series of speakers are JBL’s high-end car speakers. They offer improved sound quality and performance. They’re available in component and in coaxial configurations, enabling them to work well in virtually any environment.

JBL Vs. Pioneer : So which one is best?

Shoppers looking for an affordable and great-sounding car speakers have probably considered JBL and Pioneer at some point or another. These car stereo brands offer car speakers that are very competitive with each other — and with the rest of the market — in terms of pricing, performance, sound and build quality.

Despite their commonalities, there are some differences to consider if you’re deciding between the JBL and Pioneer brands. So, what are these differences?

Well, at first glance, they’re pretty similar. However, after heavy testing with different types of music at different EQ levels, we’ve come to the conclusion that JBL and Pioneer car speakers are relatively comparable in terms of sound quality.

The sound with the JBL speakers is very crisp and clear throughout the audio spectrum. And although the range doesn’t go quite as low as other similar offerings, JBL car speakers can put out some pretty decent bass.

Pioneer car speakers also have solid bass (nothing crazy, but it’s there), their mids and highs are clean and crisp. However, JBL car speakers seem to beat the bass from Pioneer car speakers by having a larger surface area on their cones.

Both Pioneer and JBL car speakers will work well on their own, however, they’ll truly come into their own when driven by external amplifier and with a sub system bolstering their decent bottom end.

JBL Vs. Pioneer : What’s The Final Answer?

We are not going to try to convince you that JBL is better than Pioneer or vice versa, as both companies make great car speakers, and that is simply too broad a statement to make. Rather, you should consider the type of sound quality you’re seeking, and what’s most important to you : bass or sound quality.

Additionally when choosing between car speaker brands, we highly recommend that you compare each pair of speakers individually — where Pioneer may have a better entry-level pair of speakers, JBL may have a better pair of speakers that will breath a new life into your car audio system.

That said, bear in mind that whichever car speakers you decided to opt for, you won’ be unhappy upgrading your factory speakers to any of these speakers.
