Focal’s Performance Series car speakers are designed to be a high-grade replacement to factory-installed speakers. These Focal 6.5 component speakers use a lightweight, exceptionally rigid Polyglass woofer cones to create accurate, richly-textured sound, whether played loud or soft.

Focal applies molten glass microballs onto cellulose pulp to create their Polyglass cones, combining the accuracy and neutrality of the rigid glass layer the superior damping characteristics of a paper cone.

To add to the speaker’s reliability and longevity, these cones are supported with butyl rubber surround which is resistant to UV rays, temperature extremes, and humidity.

Additionally, these speakers are featured with aluminum inverted dome tweeters which will make a night and day difference in terms of highs. Each of these tweeters features a built-in bullet-shaped phase plug and wave guide, which work together to ensures a smooth, flat off-axis frequency response and improve the stereo soundstage.

The K2 Power 165KRX2 6.5 component speaker system bears the hallmarks of Focal’s “Power Hi-Fi” philosophy. Their cones are made of a composite consisting of a foam core, a structural glass fiber bottom layer, and a Kevlar top layer. This comibnation of materials allows for a rigid, light weight cone with outstanding damping characteristics. These woofer cone will easily handle the power needed to drive your bass-heavy music with authority.

For long lasting performance, these woofer cones are bonded to durable butyl rubber surround that’s resistant to ultraviolet rays, heat, and humidity.
